Elizia is a display typeface inspired by Queen Elizabeth I's signature. I translated her powerful and ornamental handwriting into a contemporary typographic form. This project aims to reinterpret historical authority through design, strength and elegance. Designed for cultural, editorial and fashion contexts. Elizia works best in headlines, capital letters and decorative applications. Its calligraphic style can coexist with classic serif typefaces such as Baskerville or Bodoni. This font was created using Procreate, Illustrator and Glyphs.
